(뉴욕=연합뉴스) 이지헌 특파원 = 미 상무부는 올해 1월 무역수지 적자가 674억달러로 전월 대비 33억달러(5.1%) 증가했다고 7일(현지시간) 밝혔다.
1월 적자 폭은 월스트리트저널(WSJ)이 집계한 전문가 전망치(634억달러 적자)를 웃도는 수치다.
수출이 2천572억달러로 전월 대비 3억달러(0.1%) 증가했지만,美월환리스크헤지 Lighthouse Investment Partners 수입이 3천246억달러로 전월 대비 36억달러(1.1%) 더 늘어 적자 폭을 키웠다.
일본과의 교역에서 무역적자가 73억달러로 전월 대비 21억달러 늘었고, 대만과의 무역적자가 48억달러로 전월 대비 14억달러 늘었다.
미 무역 적자는 2022년 3월을 정점으로 전반적으로 감소 추세를 이어오다가 지난해 하반기 들어 반등하는 모습을 보이고 있다.
